K.J Choi won the Chrysler Championship at Innisbrook in Tampa in fine style today. This was K.J's fourth US Tour win and makes him the first Asian golfer to win four times on the US Tour. K.J opened with a 20 foot eagle putt on the first hole and no-player got any closer than two shots fromhis lead throughout the day. We have worked very hard on changing his posture, backswing plane and posture through the ball. For this all to come together and K.J hit the ball so strong and straight in a couple of months is great testiment to his physical and mental talent. K.J is a pleasure to work with, he has an incredible work ethic and focus on what he wants to achieve in golf. K.J has now qualified for the Tour Championship next week and the Mercedes Championship in Kapalua in January. Stuart Appleby finished nicely with a 2 under 69 and finish at a 1 under total and around 30th place. Apples made two triple bogies in the first round and a double in the last. Take those bad holes out and he would have been right there in the mix on the weekend. We are happy with his game as he started to drive the ball with more confidence. We are looking forward to the Tour Championship next week at Eastlake in Atlanta. The fairways are very narrow and the course calls for quite afew mid and long irons. Nick Flanagan was tied 9th going into the last round at Miami on the Nationwide Tour. Unfortunately Nick got off to a bad start and never recovered finishing 2 over for the day at 5 under and a tie for 25th. Next week Nick is rooming with me late in the week and we will practice and work hard getting him ready for the final event at the Nationwide Tour Championship in Houston the week after.

Steve, I was not sure the best way to get in touch with you. You instruct some of the players with the best swings on tour. I have a few questions for you. First up I use to take lessons with Mike Austin in Studio City Ca. He taught me how to cast the club correctly. Is this something that you have worked on with K.J. Choy?
My next question is that I have been noticing that a number of players of the past three years are laying the club off at the top. In search for a simpler way of returning it to impact, Do you work with Stuart Appleby on this motion, It seem to be a very noticable position for him at the top? Third, I am a Director of Instruction at Catta Verdera C.C. in Northern Ca. I was recently given the honor of Teacher of the Year in my section and I am about to start a Golf School here at the club. Jim McLean has communicated with me, but it always seems that the issue is money with the biggest in the buisiness. I am as aware as anyone with regards to what golf schools can make when run properly. I am in search of putting together a school for the corprations in the Sacramento area and other areas of the world. We are in such a prime location with Tahoe and the Pacific Ocean Near by. We have the biggest grossing Casino 4 miles from our course. My thought is to find a partner that may want to invest with me in a world golf school. Your accolades are greater than mine. I have worked with some college golfers that do quite well on the LPGA tour and Glen Day was a friend and student of mine for some time years back. If you have any interest please contact me at bbondaruk@cattaverdera.com Thanks for your time Billy B ps Cinderella Man was good
Steve, I have a great respect for what you teach. I do have a few questions for you. Do you work with K.J. on casting the club? My next question is in regards to the laid off position of the club at the top. I have noticed for the last three years that Tiger included have gone to this position to keep the club more in front of them on tthe down swing? My third question is Would you be interested in doing a golf school in the US. I am the Director of Instruction at a great course in Northern California, it called Catta Verdera C.C. that means Magical Green Place. Recently I was given the honor of The 2006 Teacher of the Year in the Northern California section. I have contacted a school that I use to work for, Jim McLean, however the money split made me more of an employee than a partner. THat is quite understandable with his name. We have a absolute fantastic area to teach in and the proximity to of the area is fantastic as well. We are located next to the biggest grossing Casino in the US. Thunder Valley. It is approximatly 1 hour to Lake Tahoe from here and Hewlett Packard and Oracle are both 3 to 4 miles away. The possibility is very good for a successful well run school.
