I am back in the USA for my first 3 week coaching trip for 2008. We are at TPC Scottsdale for the FBR Open. Nick Flanagan and Stuart Appleby went out for an early morning practice round. Stuart played his first event last week in San Diago at the Buick event and got off to a good start by finishing 8th. Importantly he finished 2nd in greens in regulation for the week with just over 80% hit. If he an keep that up for the year he will have some good finishes when he has solid putting weeks. The last two weeks before we came over here we worked every day on solid fundementals of pivot (with the leaderboard) and plane (with a plane board). Nick has struggled with his back swing position for the first 3 events and only made the one cut so far. We did some good work with a backswing drill yesterday and he was much happier with his ball striking out on the course today.
